Making Every Event Count
Our events are the most visible of Thrive Community's core activities. They are more than just gatherings; they are powerful celebrations of resilience, platforms for education, and critical fundraising drives for warriors in need.
We measure the success of our events not just by attendance, but by the tangible support generated and the shift in public awareness.
Grassroots Funding
Our events are proudly community-funded. The previous Lupus Day Hangout demonstrated incredible grassroots support, with attendees donating anywhere from KSh 100 to KSh 1,000 for entry.
Resource Leverage
By securing donations of venue space like the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), sound equipment, and tents, we ensure that more than 90% of funds raised go directly into our core programs, not event logistics.
Community Feedback
We engage attendees after the ebent to gauge the core awareness outcome.
"Coming to the event really helped me understand people living with autoimmune diseases much, much more."
Alice, Ally
We host two annual events that bring our warriors, caregivers, allies, and partners together to fight stigma, raise critical funds, and amplify the voices of the autoimmune community across Kenya.
Support, Education, & Wellness:
Our flagship psychosocial gathering held on World Lupus Day. It combines expert learning sessions, community support, expressive art therapy, games, and the Warrior Marketplace for economic empowerment.
Movement, Visibility, & Advocacy
The Purple Circle is a warm end-of-year hangout for people living with autoimmune conditions, their families, and friends. It’s a day to move, learn, connect, and celebrate community—while spreading awareness and embracing positivity on the warrior journey.
